Over time, many shower heads may accumulate mineral deposits, which can affect the water flow and water quality. Check out these helpful tips to unclog your shower head:
TIP 1 –
Take a gallon Ziplock bag and fill it with one cup white vinegar. Slide the bag over the shower head and secure it with a rubber and or zip tie! Allow it to soak in the vinegar for an hour. Once you remove the bag, you can turn on the shower head to quickly rinse the vinegar off.
TIP 2 –
If your shower head is clogged with with tough minerals, you will need to do a deeper clean. Carefully disconnect the shower head from the arm. Once you remove the head, put the shower head in a bowl of white vinegar and leave it there overnight. Once you remove it from the bowl and before you rinse it, use a toothbrush to scrub the holes. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly and put back in place.
TIP 3 –
In a large bowl, mix 1 cup water to 1/2 cup baking soda. Remove the head from the arm and place it in the bowl for 1 hour. Once done, remove from the bowl and scrub with a toothbrush then rinse thoroughly and put back on place.
